The carbon fiber construction, and a host of other features, make this tripod perfect for your next adventure. You get a ton of adjustability with this small tripod. The foot is made of a non-slip rubberized foot. Hanging from the center is a counterweight hook for hanging a weight from in order to achieve maximum stability, especially when using on windy days. This hook column can easily be twisted off when you need to get low to the ground. The head that comes with the Vortex Summit Carbon Fiber II Tripod Kit is a two-way adjustable pan head. The head comes with a quick-release plate in the box which features a 1/4" 20mm threaded bolt for threading into spotting scope bodies, binocular adapters or a host of other accessories that shares the same thread pitch. Removing the QR head plate exposes the Arca-Swiss head mount that's built right into the tripod's head which can also be used to adapt to a ton of different accessories. The maximum load capacity of this tripod is 22 lbs. It is also interchangeable with the Vortex Leveling head. The total weight of the tripod is 2.5 lbs. The minimum height is 6.3 inches form the ground and the maximum height is 53.3 inches. This lightweight Vortex tripod that is perfect for just about any accessory.
